Work on this uniquely charming object began even before Aldo Bakker developed the Reigen series for Lobmeyr—in fact, it is now in the 18th version. Some things just need a little time. This lovely companion for day and night comes in clear, alexandrite, and grey glass.

Aldo’s sculptural pieces, made from bronze, stone, silver, and lacquer, come in strong and distinct shapes. Created based on the principles of nature, each design has warmth, charm, and very strong personality. Aldo Bakker was born a child of design, the only child of avant-garde jewellery designers Emmy van Leersum and Gijs Bakker, cofounder of Droog Design. He rejected formal arts training and gathered experience through craftsmanship, later going on to teach at the Eindhoven Design Academy.

In addition to his studio productions, Bakker has also created works for companies like Georg Jensen, Karakter, Puiforcat, Sèvres, and Swarovski. His work can be found in the most renowned museums and galleries of the world.
